PRIVACY NOTICE
Thank you for joining our online veterinary e-learning platform, the largest of its kind in the world. At Pets Pharma (“Pets Pharma,” “we,” “us”), we respect your privacy and want you to understand how we collect, use, and share information about you. This privacy notice describes our data collection practices and your rights to access, correct, or restrict the use of your personal data.
Unless we link to a different policy or state otherwise, this privacy notice applies when you visit or use the Pets Pharma website, mobile apps, APIs, or related services (the “Services”).

1. Data We Collect
We collect certain data from you directly, such as information you enter yourself, and data about your course participation. We also collect some data automatically, like device information and interactions with our Services.
1.1 Data You Provide to Us
We may collect different data from or about you depending on how you use the Services. Here are some examples to help you better understand the data we collect.
When you create an account and use the Services, including through a third-party platform, we collect any data you provide directly, including:
- Account Data: To use certain features (like enrolling in a course), you need to create a user account. When you create or update your account, we collect and store the data you provide, like your email address, password, phone number, occupation, skill interests, gender, race, ethnicity, age, date of birth, and account settings. We assign you a unique identifying number (“Account Data”).
- Profile Data: You can also choose to provide profile information such as a photo, headline, biography, preferred language, a link to your website, social media profiles, or other data. Your profile information may be publicly viewable by others.
- Shared Content: Some parts of the Services let you interact with other users or share content publicly, including posting course reviews, asking or answering questions, sending messages to students or instructors, or posting photos or other work you upload. Such shared content may be publicly viewable depending on where it is posted.
- Course Data: When you enroll in and take courses, we collect certain data including which courses you’ve started and completed, course credits and purchases, subscriptions, certificates, exchanges with instructors, teaching assistants, and other students, and submitted content such as assignments or answers.
- Data About Your Accounts on Other Services: We may obtain certain information through your social media or other online accounts if they are connected to your Pets Pharma account. If you log in to Pets Pharma via Facebook or another third-party platform or service, we ask for your permission to access certain information from that account. For example, depending on the platform or service, we may collect your name, profile picture, account ID number, login email address, location, physical location of access devices, gender, birthday, and list of friends or contacts. Those platforms or services make information available to us through their APIs. The information we receive depends on what you or the platform decide to provide. If you access or use our Services through a third-party platform or service, or click on any third-party links, your data collection, use, and sharing will also be subject to the privacy policies and other agreements of that third party.
- Sweepstakes, Promotions, and Surveys: We may invite you to complete a survey or participate in a promotion (like a contest, sweepstakes, or challenge) either through the Services or a third-party platform. If you participate, we will collect and store the data you provide, such as your name, email address, mailing address, date of birth, or phone number. That data is subject to this privacy notice unless otherwise stated in the official rules of the promotion or another privacy notice. The data collected will be used to administer the promotion or survey, including to notify winners and distribute prizes. For some rewards, you may be required to allow us to publicly post some of your information (like on a winner’s page). If we use a third-party platform to administer a survey or promotion, that third party’s privacy policy will apply.
- Communications and Support: If you contact us for support or to report a problem or concern (regardless of whether you have an account), we collect and store your contact information, messages, and other data such as your name, email address, messages, location, Pets Pharma user ID, refund transaction IDs, and any other data you provide or we collect through automated means (described below). Intellectual Property Policy
Pets Pharma is a technology platform that enables anyone, anywhere in the world, to take educational courses. We host courses on our online learning platform. Our virtual store model means we do not legally review or edit courses.
Infringing activity is not tolerated on or through our platform.
This policy outlines our response to copyright infringement claims by content owners and trademark infringement claims by trademark owners concerning courses offered on the Pets Pharma platform. It also covers what we do when Pets Pharma instructors’ courses are copied without permission on third-party platforms.
Reporting Third-Party Copyright Infringements
Pets Pharma’s policy is to remove courses from our service when they are reported as infringing in a properly submitted copyright infringement notice from the original content owner. We reserve the right to terminate a user’s account at any time, including when they post content that infringes third-party intellectual property.
How to Submit a Complaint
If you want to report a course on the Pets Pharma platform and you are the owner, or an agent authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the content rights you believe are being infringed, please consider the following before submitting a complaint:
- Your copyright infringement notice must be sufficiently substantiated for us to process it. This means:
- You must provide enough information for us to contact you, including your full legal name, an email address, a physical address, and a phone number (optional).
- If you’re submitting on behalf of an organization, you must include the organization’s name and your relationship to it.
- You must accurately identify the original copyrighted material or, if your notice covers multiple works, provide a representative list (e.g., a URL to the original work).
- You must provide sufficient information for us to locate the allegedly infringing course(s) on the Pets Pharma website (e.g., course title and specific URL).
- You must include a declaration stating:
“I declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this claim is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, and I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
- You must provide enough information for us to contact you, including your full legal name, an email address, a physical address, and a phone number (optional).
- Knowingly submitting a false or misleading copyright claim is illegal and could result in liability for damages. Pets Pharma reserves the right to seek damages from any party who submits a copyright infringement notice in violation of the law.
- Consider whether the course’s use of your content qualifies as “fair use”. Some copyright laws include a “fair use” exception for content that is in the public interest—such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, or research. When evaluating whether use qualifies as fair use, consider:
- The purpose of the use (e.g., whether the course is paid, and whether it critiques or transforms your material);
- The nature of the original copyrighted work (e.g., whether it is factual or creative);
- The amount and substantiality used (e.g., whether it uses short, necessary excerpts or substantial portions); and
- The effect on the market (e.g., whether people would buy the course instead of your content).
- The purpose of the use (e.g., whether the course is paid, and whether it critiques or transforms your material);
Make sure the copied content in the course doesn’t qualify as fair use before submitting a copyright notice.
Counter-Notification
To be effective, a counter-notification must be made in writing and include the following information:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Your name, physical address, and email address or telephone number;
- Identification of the course that was removed and the location (URL) where it appeared before it was removed (this information is included in the copyright complaint we forwarded to you);
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification; and
- A statement that you consent to:
- Pets Pharma sharing your name and contact information with the complainant;
- Receiving legal process from the complainant or their agent; and
- Accepting the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which you reside.
- Pets Pharma sharing your name and contact information with the complainant;
Submitting a false or misleading counter-notification is illegal and may result in liability for damages.
Pets Pharma reserves the right to seek damages from any party who submits a counter-notification in violation of the law.
Reporting Trademark Infringement by Third Parties
Pets Pharma’s policy is to remove courses from our platform when we receive a report that they infringe on a third party’s trademark. We also reserve the right to terminate an instructor’s account at any time, including when they post content that infringes on third-party trademark rights.
